1. Its a great tool for keeping students up-to-date on deadlines and changes to the syllabus.
2. Teachers can easily communicate with parents about classroom expectations and standards.
3. Its a great place for students to compile their work, like a portfolio.
4. Its a great way to have students collaborate. If they are working on a project together they can communicate from anywhere.
5. Its a great way for students to discuss topics outside of the classroom and can give them a greater sense of freedom to express their ideas.
6. Teachers should be carefule about the content they post and aware that it is all public.
7. It is important to stress to students appropriate internet behaivor, and stress the fact that everything on the internet is public.
8. Blogs are a great way for students to publish their ideas and create an artifact they are proud of.
9. Blogs are often exciting and allow students to present their ideas in multiple ways (i.e. written, visual, audio, etc.)
10. Teachers should always make sure that blog projects are meaningful and connect to the content.
