Tips for using Prezi


Ten tips for using a Prezi presentations in the classroom:

1.     More exciting then powerpoint.

2.     Zoom feature allows students to see the focal points and what to focus on.

3.     The zoom in feature allows you to expand upon or define key words and concepts.

4.     Often can get students involved and excited but care should be taken not to over zoom and confuse your students.

5.     Allows you to display ideas spatially, particularly useful for subjects like geography and geology.

6.     Allows you to focus on specific details.

7.     Lets you look at the material in a more circular way rather then powerpoint which is much more linear.

8.     Allows you to post your presentation online allowing students to access the information from any computer.

9.     Lets students make connection between ideas and see the “big picture”.

10.  Allows you to integrate text, video, and images in a comprehensive and dynamic presentation.
